Prenatal Care with Midwives
It’s the little things. We have the tools necessary to offer safe clinical care in an out-of-hospital setting, so we can offer the peace of mind, while being able to help support the physiologic process of birth with clean, calm, nurturing spaces.
Our Clients
Clients seek midwifery care for a variety of reasons, including:
Low-intervention, unmedicated birth
Informed decision making and autonomy
Early labor at home, and early discharge from the birth center
Prenatal Appointments
Our midwives share a call rotation, so you’ll meet each of them throughout your prenatal appointments. Emphasizing relationship-based care with our clients builds trust and enables our clients to create an individualized birth plan.
Classes
Classes and connections to resources is one of the strengths of community care in our freestanding birth center. We will have classes that are focused on getting parents tools and information that will aid them through pregnancy, birth, and parenting.

IBC Client
“I never felt that I was an inconvenience or rushed through appointments even though it was my 8th baby.”
Prenatal care with our midwives:
Your initial appointment is 60 minutes. The midwives will review your in-depth health history, discuss how you’re feeling, and take time to answer your questions.
Subsequent appointments are 30 minutes and include listening to your baby’s heart tones (if possible), assessing your uterine growth, and answering all of your questions.
You will meet all of the midwives throughout your prenatal care, so whomever is on call when you go into labor, you’ll be greeted by someone you know.
You will receive access to our easily digestible information packets with useful tips, planning tools, and other resources that are beneficial throughout pregnancy.
Testing, such as labs and ultrasounds, are completed through a third-party. The midwives will discuss all necessary testing and elective testing.
